Wet and Mild: Weekend at Bernie's

Oh, to live in Austin when Terry Kiser had his own acting school.

Tonight, we honor the man’s most iconic role — as a dead guy. Weekend at Bernie’s is a deeply dark, preposterous comedy in which a murdered businessman’s friends and lovers are so indifferent to him, his corpse fits right into their social calendar. Bernie still throws great parties. How this corpse-forward cult classic ever cracked the mainstream is anyone’s guess. Come chill, munch the free popcorn, and soak up the beach vibes.
