Seven Deadly Scenes: Single White Female (1992)

I love myself like this!

Name a better genre than a 90s psychological thriller, I’ll wait. One of the best examples is 1992’s Single White Female, featuring stellar performances from Bridget Fonda (Allie) and Jennifer Jason Leigh (Hedra). Allie lives in a giant rent-controlled apartment, just dumped her cheating boyfriend, and has a truly shitty boss. Enter Hedra, the shy, vulnerable new roommate who keeps doing inappropriate things but gets a pass because she’s just so damn meek. Things escalate quickly as Hedra essentially tries to *be* Allie, terrible haircut and all. If you thought your old roommate was crazy, wait until you see what Hedra can do with a high heel!
