Three years before Peter Jackson’s BAD TASTE, David Blyth gave us this punk rock mutant brain surgery epic which also happens to be a strong contender for the first horror movie from the great country of New Zealand. DEATH WARMED UP is a revenge story on the Island of Dr Moreau. It features some of our favorite mutant freak dudes, lingering dread, gore galore, incredible outfits and that wonderful sense of otherness you can only get watching a bonkers-but-beautiful movie like this.
